Supernatural British Columbia2 by bukephalas Supernatural British Columbia2 by bukephalas
Second in series...See part 1 here.

The title is a little play on what I've always thought to be a rather silly slogan for tourism in British Columbia. This was taken a short drive from my university. Playing with infrared again! Was going to go for the more 'traditional' false blue and pink colours, and kept them in this one (as opposed to the first in the series).

Como Lake, British Columbia

p.s.: this is in the heart of the suburbs, about half an hour out of downtown Vancouver. Aren't we lucky?

i keep reading that the D50 can do ir. i think i'm going to have to try it. i disassembled my old camera to try and remove the hot mirror, but failed at the reassembly. well i tried, and now the old one can go in the garbage, and i have a piece of hot-mirror glass to play with sometime.

lol, i wouldn't try that.

just get a filter! it costs 50 bucks or something...much cheaper than a new camera!

Oh no worries. It was my old 3MP glorified point-and-shoot from about 2003. The joystick control has been broken for at least two years. It was painful to shoot with. Well, it did create a handfull of my favorite deviations in its time. But useless once I got the D50. [link] is my final tribute to it. Yes, I do need to snag a cold-mirror filter.

very surreal scene.. I like the idea and what you did here with the IR filter. also it has a very good balance along the middle line
